Группа «Led Zeppelin» была создана в 1968 году в Лондоне. Инициатором создания коллектива стал Джимми Пейдж, который незадолго до этого еще являлся участником группы «The Yardbirds». Вскоре к Джимми присоединился клавишник и бас-гитарист Джон Пол Джонс, вокалист Робер Плант и ударник Джон Бонэм. В таком составе группа приступила к репетициям. Поначалу коллектив называл себя «The New Yardbirds», однако затем название было изменено на «Лед Зепелин». Первое публичное выступление было проведено в клубе Gladsaxe Teen в Копенгагене. В этом же году был подписан договор со звукозаписывающей компанией Atlantic Records, которая выдала группе аванс в 200 000 долларов для записи дебютного альбома. Тогда же коллектив провел первое турне по городам Соединенных Штатов. Осенью на студии Olympic Studios началась подготовка материала для первого альбома. 
Зимой 1969 года состоялась презентация дебютного альбома «Led Zeppelin». В Billboard 200 альбом занял десятое место, а в UK Albums Chart дебютировал на шестой позиции. Осенью того же года Atlantic Records выпустили альбом «Led Zeppelin II». 
В 1970 году коллектив осуществил свой пятый по счету американский концертный тур, который принес им 800 000 долларов. В октябре состоялся релиз альбома «Led Zeppelin III». В этом же году коллектив дал ряд выступлений в Японии. 
В ноябре 1971 года группа завершила работу над очередной пластинкой «Led Zeppelin IV». Затем был проведен международный гастрольный тур, в годе которого песни «Led Zeppelin» были услышаны вживую в Японии, Австралии, странах Южной Азии. 
В 1973 году был выпущен альбом «Houses of the Holy». 
В 1974 году группа взяла отпуск. Музыканты отдыхали от концертов и занимались своей новосозданной компанией звукозаписи Swan Song Records. Этот лейбл позже взял на себя выпуск всех релизов «Led Zeppelin». 
В 1975 году коллектив стал рекордсменом – все шесть выпущенных к этому времени студийных альбома заняли места в списках Billboard 200. Это достижение на сегодняшний день не побила ни одна группа. 
В 1979 году состоялся релиз последнего студийного альбома «In Through the Out Door». После его выхода полноформатных релизов коллектива больше не было. 
В 1980 году из-за чрезмерного употребления алкоголя погиб Джон Бонэм. После этого «Led Zeppelin» распались. После этого участники коллектива занялись сольными проектами. 
В 2007 году участники «Led Zeppelin» собрались вместе для проведения нескольких концертов.  
В 2008 году был выпущен сборник лучших песен под названием «Definitive Collection».

Экс-вокалист Led Zeppelin выступит в Москве и Петербурге Роберт Плант, бывший вокалист группы Led Zeppelin, в июле 2011 года выступит в Москве и Санкт-Петербурге, как написано в расписании концертов, которое опубликовано на официальном сайте музыканта. В Москве Роберт Плант выступит 29 июля в зале «Крокус Сити Холла», а в Питере 27 июля в Ледовом дворце.

The Doors, американская рок-группа. Образована в 1965 в Лос-Анджелесе в составе: Jim Morrison (вокал), Рей Манзарек (клавишные), Робби Кригер (гитара), Джон Дензмор (ударные). Группа просуществовала всего шесть лет, однако ее влияние на музыку 1980-х и 1990-х годов несомненно.

sage - 23.04.2011-14:37 Планируется ль деление на альбомысинглы(не сколько вопрос, сколько предложение) ------ Есть исполнитель, есть альбомы, в них - треки. если Трек без альбома - он идет в альбом Хиты и Синглы. Так какое еще деление надо?
